Can you believe it's August? - I certainly feel like I blinked in March, opened my eyes a moment later and it was August!
Both of my current WIPs are taking part in the Ravellenic Games 2012 and are slowly making it to the finish line. First one in the race is Toorie hat made with yummy and squishy yarn which I wrote about earlier in July. It knits up really quickly as I'm using DK weight yarn and it's such a lovely break from fingering weight yarn that have been occupying my needles due to endless shawl knitting :-)
I will be travelling by train tomorrow for couple of hours so I'm hoping to have some quiet knitting time ob board and have it finished by the end of the week - I can't wait to make pom poms hehe.
Crushed Blueberries |
The texture reminds me of waffles - yum! |
As always, check out Tami's Amis for more inspirations!
And also Ginny's blog which is pretty cool as well :-) x

ReplyDeleteI love both of your projects!! The crushed blueberries name is excellent :) have fun knitting!
ReplyDeleteYour hat and your shawl are really nice. I admire that you can keep focused to finish these during the Olympics!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the colour of that hat -- amazing!!!! The Holden Shawl is fabulous too. Great colour choices for the two projects.

ReplyDeleteAnd now I got a craving for waffles...with blueberry jam
That's my favorite kind of lace pattern! Looks great!
ReplyDeleteharuni has been on my wish list FOREVER!! Yours is beautiful----maybe I better cast on! :)
ReplyDeleteI've also had Haruni in my queue for a long time - but it looks so hard that I've put off attempting it. Please keep updating us with how it's going! Maybe you can convince me to get a move on with it!
ReplyDeleteOh, that Haruni shawl---the texture really is delicious, although I'm seeing leaves more than waffles, but I've always got trees on the brain, so...
ReplyDeleteThose are so pretty! I love both colors.
ReplyDeletei love knitting /crocheting on the train, the trip just flies by!
ReplyDeleteGreat projects, esp the haruni.
I love the little flecks of purple on grey in the yarn you're using for your hat! It's going to look fantastic. Haruni is gorgeous already! The only thing that puts me off top down shawls is that every row takes longer than the last, lol :)
