Fair Isle Snowflake Mug Cosy - Free Pattern

Snowflake Mug Cosy

I designed this mug cosy when I needed a winter-themed quick gift for a friend in 2011. I decided to give it a little makeover and added some new features to make the pattern easier to read and knit.

Although it might look intimidating to start with, this little cosy is the perfect project to start your Fair Isle practice on. It quicks up quick and there are only two colours to get hang of.

If your intended mug is larger than mine (just above 9.5cm/3.7in in height) you can simply add more rows to the ribbing at the bottom and at the top.

You will need approximately 50y (m) of main colour and 20y (m) of contrast colour so it's great for using up scraps of yarn!

I included a new chart as well, which includes all the selvedge edges details you will neat to keep your work tidy.

You can find it FREE on Ravelry here
