FO: Knit, Purl...Done!

Hello everyone!

Like the rest of the knitting/crocheting world, I have been busy tackling my WIPs to make room for new projects due to be cast on tonight - very exciting! I managed to get one out of the way, but it's the important one, the verrrrrrrrry long overdue one. I wrote about it several times already, and after many adventures with trying to make shawlette into the shawl it's finally done :-)
Unblocked
Holden is such a great little pattern: simple enough to show off a gorgeous skein of yarn, but with some detail to keep it interesting, knitting it it very relaxing and the lace pattern is simple and repetitive. It's also easy to enlarge, I'll be making more in the future!

The picot bind off is a bit cheated, because I was desperately running out of yarn, I decided to skip one row and go straight to the bind off - meaning I had to bind off on the purl side. Easier said that done, but luckily no cats were injured in the process :-) I also need to get some blocking pins and re-do the blocking of the picots.

  6. Looks gorgeous! It's the perfect shawl size and combining two colours is really nice. Just started to think it would also look great, if you graded colours through the repeats...oh my, this pattern is doing things to me! :)
