Oh we do like to be beside the seaside!

Weather has been gorgeous here on the south coast of England.
Sadly, I have only experienced it through the window as I have been dealing with insane network flows. However, with many Bank holidays and long weekends coming my way I’m ready to get into spirit of fun by the seaside! (minus thousands of desperate city-dwellers who will flog to *my* seaside in the following weeks)

Today I haven't got much to show for myself I'm afraid. Therefore, a selection of patterns in my favourites tagged "sea"!

Last week I started knitting Baile, a lovely skirt that I plan to make with one ruffle and in gorgeous teal colour - I'm calling it my mermaid skirt!

Yarn for my Mermaid Skirt comes from super-large order of Knit Picks Wool of The Andes, which I originally bought to make this pattern, The Life Aquatic, published in Stitch 'n Bitch Superstar Knitting
It is firmly staying in my queue thus I plan to make it, just...em... some other time. Hopefully before Autumn 2012!
Another one of my sea-tagged queued patterns is this lovely cowl, I think it's very classic and grown-up!
Ships & Seaside is designed by uber-cute Tiny Owl Knits and you can find it here

Finally, if you like shells, sand and mermaids, here's a great post about ethnic issues regarding yarns. Save the mermaids!
